David Bell, Managing Director
David qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and has worked primarily as an in-house solicitor for companies ranging from a start up company to a major food company listed on the Irish and UK stock exchanges. During that time he provided legal advice to the board of Directors, business managers and other staff in a wide range of areas including compliance with statutory requirements, particularly in the area of Employment Law.
In addition to David Bell, the HR Department has a team of experienced HR professionals who assist clients in the development of a strategic approach to HR issues and the establishment of HR processes. This team of professionals also provide the comprehensive audit and implementation service to our clients.

Michelle Arkins
Michelle Arkins is a skilled human resources and employment law consultant with over ten years’ hands-on experience.
Michelle’s areas of expertise include company auditing to ensure compliance with current legislation; employment contracts; company policy, procedures and handbook development; performance management consulting; restructuring and redundancy consulting; development of job descriptions and assistance and management in disciplinary matters and bullying/harassment cases.
Michelle has provided HR and employment law consulting services to companies of all sizes and across multiple business sectors.
Michelle holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from the Honourable Society of King’s Inns, is a qualified trainer and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Committed to ongoing professional development, Michelle is currently completing a Masters in Human Resources Strategies in Dublin City University.

Geraldine Downing
Geraldine has worked as an independent consultant for the HR Department since 2003 and has over 18 years experience as an HR professional in many aspects of HR including Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Recruitment and Selection and Training and Development. Geraldine worked for 10 years as HR Manager in the software industry and more recently has provided consultancy services to a broad range of business both large and small in the following sectors Service, Distribution, Manufacturing, Finance, Retail, Leisure and Healthcare.

Sarah Willis
Sarah is a HR professional with over 9 years’ experience. She has gained generalist experience while working as a HR Business Partner, strategically managing all areas of HR for her business groups. However her main focus has been managing change and projects within the organisation working on numerous TUPE projects. She has worked in various industries in her career including Facilities, Engineering and Finance. She has the capability of being equally conscious of the strategic intent of the operation as well as the needs of the managers and employees.
Given her experience in managing change, Sarah has developed a passion for resolving employee relations and is capable of building relationships at all levels in an organisation. Her academic background hosts a BA in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Employment Law. Sarah is also an Associate member of CIPD.

Jean Ann Taylor has over thirty years experience leading large teams and is a commercial professional at a senior management level having worked with companies such as House of Fraser, Brown Thomas, Clerys & Co. and ARI. She has a consistent impressive track record for the successful development and implementation of Employment Engagement Projects, Performance Management Design and Training, Restructuring Management Teams through Assessment Process and Designing/Implementing new management structures.
Having managed large operations teams, she has excellent people management skills and became a successful leader in her various management roles. She is a strong influencer, successful negotiator at the highest level with international brands. Jean Ann is currently completing a Masters in Strategy/Innovation, Business Finance and Strategic HR.

Julie holds an Honors BA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations is a Manual Handling Trainer, Qualified Mediator and holds the Train the Trainer Qualification. She is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, CIPD. She has extensive experience in Training, People Development, Presentation design and delivery and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Louisa Meehan
Louisa has worked in multiple roles within the HR department in Bank of Ireland, working in change and business partner positions. She is a part-time lecturer in UCD and CMI on HR and Organisational Behaviour.
Louisa holds an Masters in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Smurfit Business School, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Law from UCD and Mediation and Conflict Resolution, NUI Galway.
Louisa has worked in multiple roles within the HR department in Bank of Ireland, working in change and business partner positions. She is a part-time lecturer in UCD and CMI on HR and Organisational Behaviour.

Specialising only in mediation and early conflict resolution, she has achieved an outstanding record of negotiated resolutions working on multi-issue and multi -party cases over a ten-year period with consistently positive feedback from both clients and referral departments.
Her record of experience demonstrates a successful partnering with a range of human resource teams, legal advisers, interpreters, and trade union representatives, mutually working together in a collaborative effort to secure a private and dignified resolution for a variety of employee disputes and issues.
With a unique background in Law, business and entrepreneurship she is passionate about empowering leadership in the face of conflict and equipping management, human resources and project teams with the resources and skillset to prevent, manage and resolve destructive conflict that often drains business of time, money and resources.
