We engaged the services of The HR Department to conduct an audit of our HR Procedures. This work was completed and the findings resulted in an update of our employment contracts and staff handbook.

We engaged The HR Department almost 3 years ago to fully outsource our recruitment function. Since then it has continued to add value, both in terms of the day to day functions around recruitment as well as advice and consultancy, to improve the process and therefore the service provided.
The onsite consultant liaises directly with the recruiting managers and they are very comfortable to do so. We have had 2 different consultants over this period, both for over a year and each fitted in and came up to speed very quickly.

SDL Exhibitions Ltd
SDL Exhibitions Ltd came in contact with the HR Department through their financial advisor's, Financial Engineering, early in 2002.As a small, owner-operated business of 12 to 15 people, for over 20 years SDL had no formal HR Policies and only do-it-yourself type contracts with some of its more recent employees.
The HR team proposed an initial review of the company's contractual relationships with its employees, including the completion of employee data forms and provided a summary of 'where we are now'.
Phase 2 involved drafting new contracts for each employee and a company handbook.
Phase 3 involved the implementation of the new structures, meeting the staff as a group and explaining the changes.
The whole procedure was completed with ease from a management point of view and showed our staff that we want to comply with legislation designed to protect them. It also ensured that SDL does comply with legal requirements which we, like most small companies, did not.
Finally, when you do (or might) have a problem, it is reassuring to know that professional advice is just a phone call away.
